A defense minister has confirmed that the Ministry of Defence is actively investigating the potential security risks posed by Chinese cars, and staff have been instructed to avoid discussing classified matters in all cars.
Security Advice for MoD Staff
During a recent interview on a radio station, a defence minister commented on claims that Ministry of Defence officials have been told not to discuss classified information while travelling in Chinese vehicles.
The minister explained that the MoD is “examining” cars from China within its fleets, however noted that safety is a issue in all contemporary cars.
